Coolant Conditioning System

Coolant Conditioning System

The Coolant Conditioning System is engineered to deliver engine coolant at precisely controlled temperatures, flow rates, and pressures to the engine water jacket—ensuring stable thermal conditions for repeatable, reliable test results.

How It Works

Hot coolant returning from the engine passes through a high-efficiency heat exchanger. The system regulates the flow of secondary shop cooling water using a dynamic control valve, continuously adjusting the valve spindle position to maintain precise coolant temperature targets.

An integrated temperature sensor network monitors coolant flow going to and returning from the engine water jacket. The advanced process controller compares real-time temperatures against the target setpoint, actively analyzing:

  • ✓ Real-time temperature differentials
  • ✓ Directional trend analysis (thermal rise or fall)
  • ✓ Dynamic rate of temperature change adjustments

Generational Innovation & Applications

Yantrashilpa has evolved its coolant conditioning technology over multiple generations to support stringent BS4 and BS6 emission testing standards, as well as cutting-edge R&D applications like hydrogen fuel-cell testing.

Combining intelligent temperature sensing, process control, and efficient heat exchange, this system offers a dependable solution for engine development, validation, and emission compliance testing.
