Thermal Shock System
The Thermal Shock System is designed to provide hot and cold temperature shocks to the engine coolant gallery, enabling controlled thermal cycling of the engine under defined test conditions.
How It Works
The system provides three distinct coolant supply cycles to the engine: Hot, Cold, and CCS (Coolant Conditioning System). Each cycle can be defined and programmed through the control panel based on the required duration, temperature, and sequence.
During testing, the selected cycle circulates coolant through the engine coolant gallery at the programmed temperature, allowing controlled hot, cold, or intermediate-temperature conditions to be applied.

✓
Hot Cycle: Hot coolant from the hot seizure module is circulated through the engine.
-
✓
Cold Cycle: Cold or chilled coolant from the cold seizure module is circulated through the engine.
-
✓
CCS Cycle: Coolant from the CCS at an intermediate temperature, maintained by the CCS, is circulated through the engine.
Programmable Thermal Cycling
The control panel allows the duration, temperature, and sequence of the Hot, Cold, and CCS cycles to be defined and programmed according to the requirements of the engine test.
By combining controlled hot, cold, and conditioned coolant circulation, the Thermal Shock System provides a flexible solution for applying repeatable thermal shock conditions to the engine coolant gallery during testing.
