Fuel Mass Flow Meter
The Fuel Conditioning System with Fuel Mass Flow Meter is designed to maintain the temperature, flow rate, and pressure of fuel supplied to the engine feed pump at precisely controlled set values. The system ensures stable fuel conditions for accurate, repeatable, and reliable engine testing and measurement.
How It Works
Fuel from the main supply line is combined with fuel returning from the engine and directed through a heat exchanger coil. The system controls the fuel temperature either through indirect cooling or heating, depending on the required operating condition.
A process controller continuously regulates the system to maintain the desired fuel temperature and pressure, thereby ensuring a controlled and consistent fuel flow to the engine feed pump.
The fuel supplied to the engine feed pump is maintained in excess of the engine requirement. The excess fuel is bypassed and routed to the air separator along with the fuel returning from the engine, completing the fuel circulation process.
